You have the option between a 16" and 18" chains with a lobster clasp, in addition to a 1, 1.5, and 2" extension that allows you to adjust where your necklace sits based on your preference.  The necklace rests comfortably on one's chest without it feeling like it's "getting in the way" nor feeling like it's too tight. We intentionally design lightweight necklaces for everyday comfort.
